knighttcat, fashiontoast, spacetalk, UO
I'm currently thinking about these sheer maxi skirts a lot lately... I don't think it's a very easy trend to pull off but that's what fashion is all about, experimenting with clothes. I personally like clothes that I feel comfortable in, and I do not like to blend in. I'm sure that here in Mexico I'll get weird looks if I wore this, but I get those very often anyway.
I would style the sheer maxi skirt with bodycon skirts underneath, chunky sweaters, layered jewelry, and lots of rings. Maybe a hat, feather earrings, and casual tshirts, to dress it down.
I also found an affordable option from UO, you can get it here . :)
Pd: Please excuse the messy post, I'm still figuring out how to arrange the photos properly.

JC Lita Boots, Pamela Love quartz necklace, Topshop lipstick, Pamela Love Arrowhead ring, Topshop faux fur clutch
New Years Eve, It's always a big deal -at least for me- to decide what to wear. I don't want to look too girly because it's not my style, so I think this would be my perfect NYE outfit for this year. The flowy dress is short, and even though it's all black it looks different somehow, the proportions and the sheer fabric adds the fashion forward element, the accesories are just perfect to give a little bit of edge to the all black outfit and some extra spark, stones are a current trend in jewelry and Pamela Love surely knows how to do it... the JC Lita boots... well, the're THE BOOTS and this glittery color makes them the perfect shoe for the holidays. I also wanted to add a luxurious element to the outfit, so why not a little faux fur? finally the hot pink lipstick will add the pop of color. The perfect, unfussy yet chic holiday outfit. I'm just hoping I don't lose all the glamour at the end of the night! (or day?)

It's been a long time since the last time I posted a new entry on this blog. I've been very busy with school, finals, and my social life... tell me about partying everyday?
Anyway... I never ever stop checking the blogs I like and inspire me the most... so why not post some of the pictures that inspire me these days? I'm sure you've seen them before, but it's always a plus... fashion never sleeps, and neither do I.
As you already know, I love the bohemian, laid back style, with an edge... effortless hair and clothes, and neutral, basic colors. And I wear scrunched socks aaalll the time, no wonder why almost all the pictures here have those elements in common.

H&M maxi skirt, silk blouse.
I've gone a little dramatic with this photos, but I felt like some sort of nun wearing this outfit... we went to Expiatorio it's a neo-gothic church located in the heart of Guadalajara. Gorgeous. I bought this hand made cross for only 50 pesos, I already lost it in San Miguel, along with a long chain and a ring... that's so me...

F21 skirt, shirt and necklace Sam Edelman Falken boots
No wonder why I love Guadalajara. Last week I wandered around the historic center enjoying the neo-gothic architecture that it has, and having a blast. Here I am at the Museum of Arts located near that area...It was a hot day but this lightweight blouse and skirt were simply perfect. I think I waited too long to show you my new favorite shoes: my Sam Edelman Falken boots that I got this Summer. They're perfect for fall with a parka and silky dresses, crochet shorts and my shearling/leather jacket, or just anything I can randomly pull out of my closet... I just love the simpleness of clean cuts and neutral colors... I could never wear a bunch of colors, and if you do, keep the silhouettes simple. I also like to balance a short skirt with longer sleeves or a loose top... also if I'm wearing something that's too short or tight, keeping everything else low key and effortless is crucial... I Couldn't stand wearing super processed hair, flashy jewelry and makeup, and a short skirt+cleavage + lots of colors. too slutty for me...

It's been a long week for me. This pictures were taken in this gorgeous zone of Guadalajara called Colonia Americana, it's a very old zone but its full of chic little cafés, restaurants and big old houses. I wanted to show you this leather/shearling jacket I absolutely love! I know shearling is a big big trend right now, and I bought this jacket last december, it was a christmas gift from my mom, it surprisingly came out in Mexico (I still can't believe that, based on the fact that Mexico isn't the most fashionable place in the world, specially northern Mexico) right after the Burberry Prorsum show came, anyway, I love love this jacket and I loved the idea of pairing it with this navajo print dress that's so cozy I could live in it!
I got some more pictures with -finally- the sam edelman boots I was dying to show you. Hopefully I'll have time to sort that out very soon.
